Miles Davis: Rubberband Vinyl 2LP
Rubberband is a 1985 project originally intended to be Miles Davis’ first album for Warner Brothers after leaving his longtime home of Columbia, but was eventually abandoned (Tutu would be his first album released on Warner Brothers). The record was recently unearthed and completed by Miles’ nephew Vince Wilburn, Jr. and original album producers Randy Hall and Zane Giles. It’s wild to hear Miles on a smooth downtempo / r&b tip; needless to say it’s eons away from Kind Of Blue or even Big Fun or On The Corner. 11 tracks spread out on double vinyl with printed inner sleeves.
