The artist, now based in New Mexico, has been in the music game since the ’90s, and his latest release consists of simple-yet-effective tracks built on a funk-soul backbone. “Hello Jesus” features straightforward gospel-inspired lyrics, and combined with snappy drums/bass-driven production, it is sure to be a hit on the dancefloor (sounds great through headphones also). On the flip is “High Enough,” a slower but equally funky offering with subtle hints of horns that pair wonderfully with Miles’s smooth vocals.
