Metallica: The $5.98 EP – Garage Days Re-Revisited (180g, Indie Exclusive Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP
Late 80s covers EP from Bay Area heavy metal masters Metallica. The $5.98 EP – Garage Days Re-Revisited was originally recorded in 1987 and was the band’s first recording with new bassist Jason Newsted following the death of Cliff Burton. With the band set to play the Monsters of Rock festival in the UK, their label suggested they release an EP. They failed to write enough new material in time and resorted to recording covers. Metallica take on a diverse set of material that ranges from the early UK metal of Diamond Head to the Misfits’ unique brand of punk. Five tracks in all. Released by Blackened Recordings on indie exclusive translucent orange vinyl housed in a full color sleeve.
