Record Store Day Exclusivo! West End went DEEP into the vaults for this one. Loose Joints’ “Pop Your Funk” is one of Arthur Russell’s funkier projects, a rare classic on 12″ and almost non-existent on 7″ until now. This 45 version differs from the more commonly heard 12″ version with more Moog lasers and a slightly slower tempo, but check the flipside instrumental for a freak-out uptempo version that is absolutely INSANE. Obviously original 1980 copies go for loot so get one of these remastered 45’s while they last. A must for the Arthur Russell fans and completists. Recommended.
