Following the success of Lee Perry’s early 2014 album, the Grammy 2015 Nominated BACK ON THE CONTROLS, Lee has decided to bring to the world this strictly limited edition 7″ box set. The set is comprised of 5 super heavyweight 7″ dubplates from his Back On The Controls sessions. This stunning release sees Lee Perry back in the driving seat once again, producing, mixing and dubbing the effects units with Rolling Lion Studio’s Daniel Boyle and the Rolling Lion All-Star Band (Hughie Izachaar, Vin Gordon, Horseman, Winston Mcanuff, Puraman, Lee Perry & Daniel Boyle and the tragically recently departed Jamaican percussion legend Style Scott) crafting 5 super heavyweight tracks and their respective versions for your listening pleasure. This limited edition release includes dubplate, vocal and horns cut of the “Words of my mouth” revision featuring the legendary hornsman Vin Gordon. A deep and powerful vocal from Winston McAnuff along side Lee on the “Land of Dub” riddim (a deep roots song penned by Winston in 1973 and recorded in Jamaica with Lee and Daniel for the sessions). Perry’s own vocal cut of “Lee’s Special” and an added bonus of a brand new instrumental cut from Vin Gordon’s Studio One style trombone on “Vin’s Special,” all topped off once more by Lee Perry’s own production, and you have the recipe for raw roots reggae greatness.
