Lapalux returns with his sophomore album on Brainfeeder! It’s been a couple years since the breakout debut (2013’s Nostalchic) and Lustmore sees Stuart Howard further striding forward into realms of lush, hypnagogic beats. The album is loosely inspired by the hazy states of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep, thus many of the beats find the perfect balance between dreamy ambient soundscapes and meticulously programmed beats. Lapalux has recruited even recruited some vocalists, namely Andreya Triana and Szjerdene, to fully flesh out some of the tracks in his sonic universe. Check the vibe on “Closure,” “Puzzle,” “Midnight Peelers,” and “1004.” Pressed on double orange and black haze vinyl and housed in handsome gold foil & velveteen accented sleeve.
