Kruder & Dorfmeister: G-Stoned Vinyl EP
Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister introduced the world to their particular brand of Austrian downtempo and their G-Stone label with the G-Stoned EP. They fused the trip hop of the early 90s with a little Latin flavor, while retaining some of the housier elements of dance music. “High Noon” is probably the most memorable of the tracks on the EP with its shuffling drumming, dubbed out vocal samples and high precision arrangement. The duo makes what they do seem effortless. They are probably best known for their The K&D Sessions mix, which highlighted their stellar remix work, but their original productions a worth checking out as well.
