John Cage: The 25-Year Retrospective Concert of the Music of John Cage Vinyl 2LP Boxset
Few composers of the 20th century left as indelible a mark on modern classical music as John Cage. This collection of Cage’s work from 1934 to 1958 was recorded in New York city on May 15, 1958. The concert was organized by artist Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg and includes some of Cage’s most significant and controversial pieces. His interest in technology, Eastern philosophies, and the concept of “silence” and “chance” as related to composition is fully on display.
