Janis Joplin: Greatest Hits (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP (Record Store Day)
Most people heard her for the first time in 1967 at the Monterey Pop Festival (as the lead singer for Big Brother & The Holding Company), and although she passed away at a very young age (she’s a member of the “27 Club”), Janis Joplin was a “defining force in the changing soundscape of rock music” in the ’60s. Originally released in 1973, Greatest Hits includes tracks like “Piece of My Heart, “Cry Baby,” “Summertime,” “Maybe,” and “Me and Bobby McGee” (released after her death). This is the first reissue in 27 years, and the album is pressed on green smoke colored vinyl.
