Sixth studio album from Gdansk, Poland’s Jacaszek. For Kwiaty the electro-acoustic composer drew inspiration from an English anthology of metaphysical poetry from the 17th century. The music feels icy and bleak, but touches of color breakthrough every now and then. Jacaszek worked with vocalist Hania Malarowska of Hanimal to add subtle melodies to his atmospheric soundscapes. The melodies help to crack the surface of his dense and nostalgic productions, providing a window into the details hidden amongst the static. Eleven tracks in all. Released by Ghostly International on limited edition clear vinyl with purple center housed in a full color sleeve with printed inner sleeve and digital download.
