Foward Fela reworks from the Izem on GAMM! The futurist French producer takes a bold approach on “ITT” that takes Fela Kuti’s afrobeat energy and applies it to modern techno fusion. Definitely one that will surprise and kill it on the open-minded dancefloor. Next we are treated to a Latin infused banger by way of “Celia” an energetic tribute to Celia Cruz, while “Hajja” closes it out on a fresh, funky boogie tip. Not surprisingly, this is getting plays from Gilles Peterson and Quantic. Recommended.
