For their self-titled release, Twin sisters Naomi and Lisa-Kainde Diaz fuse their roots in Yoruba culture with downtempo, hip-hop and electronica with absolutely stunning results. As daughters of famed Afro-Cuban percussionist Miguel “Anga” Diaz, it is safe to say music is in their blood – and that heritage certainly comes through in the sound that is very heavy, yet soulful and magical all at the same time.
