Hooverphonic: Presents Jackie Cane (180g, Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP (Record Store Day)
4th studio album from Belgian group Hooverphonic. Jackie Cane, originally released in 2002, is a concept album telling the story of the fictitious character Jackie Cane and her dreams of becoming a singer (the story has a pretty twisted ending involving Jackie’s twin sister). The dreamy trip hop sounds are present, but the band expands its sound and incorporates alternative, rock, and electronica into the album. Also, …Jackie Cane has one other distinct characteristic; it contains elements reminiscent of Broadway show tunes, which works well with the central story being told through the 13 tracks. Includes the songs: “Nirvana Blue,” “Jackie’s Delirium,” Shampoo,” “Human Interest,” “The World is Mine,” “Opium,” and more. Released by Music On Vinyl on 180g red vinyl.
