Key repress! Don’t sleep on this one. HNNY has been burning things up lately and this rework of Brandy & Monica’s “The Boy Is Mine” is no exception. The producer slows down the arpeggio that rides through the song to a workable house tempo and lets things take their time building. An exquisitely programmed 2 step beat only adds to the effectiveness. Brandy and Monica get a little shine, but it’s all about the instrumental here. KOKO (bka Kornél Kovács) turns in a short ambient rework on the flip. This originally dropped back in April and sold out with the quickness, so act fast if you know what’s good for you. Recommended.
