Description
Helmet: Meantime Vinyl LP
Sophomore studio album from New York’s Helmet. Meantime was originally recorded in the winter of 1991 and 1992, and was the band’s major label debut. Although the album was only moderately successful it would go on to influence many bands. Frontman Page Hamilton‘s staccato riffs, dual voice vocals, and heavy jazz influence had a significant impact on the world of nu metal and alternative metal. Meantime is considered one of the defining texts of post-metal. Includes the songs: “In the Meantime,” “Unsung,” and “Iron Head.” Ten tracks in all.
