Grateful Dead: Live At Winterland (180g) LP
Here’s something for all the Dead Heads out there! Never before released jams recorded during one of their shows at San Francisco’s legendary Winterland Arena on May 30th, 1971. This was the second of a two night stint for the band. For those not familiar, Winterland was the venue that famed concert promoter Bill Graham turned to after he closed The Filmore West. Over the years it played host to everyone from Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones to Led Zeppelin, Queen, and the final show of the Sex Pistols. Needless to say, Live At Winterland captures a legendary San Francisco band at the height of their career at a legendary San Francisco venue. The songs maybe familiar, but the takes and the adlibs are unique to the moment. The album was mastered from the original 7½ i.p.s. reels of quarter-track ¼ tape. Limited edition gatefold 180 gram 2LP.
