You need this record in your life. It’s rare that something comes in that everyone in the office picks it up, and this is one of those records. Gigi Masin’s sound isn’t going to bang the club, or even get you knodding your head. Instead, it kills you softly with some of the most blissful, beautiful, and downright DEEP ambient sounds pressed to wax. The Italian musician has been active since the mid 80’s and his material is hard to come by ’round these parts, but thankfully Music For Memory has compiled this excellent double LP of his best material. Talk To The Sea features tracks from several of his albums including 1986’s Wind, 1989’s Les Nouvelles Musiques De Chambre Volume 2 and more. The sound samples here really don’t do justice, but just trust that this is beautiful, emotive music that only gets better with repeat listens. Double import vinyl in gatefold sleeve. Highly Recommended.
