Florist AKA Logan Sturrock reinterprets Robin S’s “Show Me Love.” His approach is understated and clever, lifting not the iconic M1 organ melody but the more low-profile vocal phrase, which he diligently filters to obscure even further (not that anyone wouldn’t recognize the words from the 1990 house anthem). Sturrock also stirs in sustained synth chords and a simple-yet-effective bassline, and the end product is a hazy groover, something decidedly radiating that rainy/foggy Pacific Northwest energy that we love.
