Description
Elvis Costello: My Aim Is True (180g) Vinyl LP
Deut studio album from London’s Elvis Costello. My Aim Is True was originally recorded between 1976 and 1977 at London’s Pathway Studios. Costello had been performing in clubs and pubs in Liverpool and London since 1970, but had a hard time getting a recording contract. He was initially tapped as a songwriter, but after recording some demos Stiff Records decided he should release an album instead. Recorded in just six four-hour sessions, the release of My Aim Is True changed everything for Costello. Stiff Records had him quit his job so he could promote the record, and it kicked off a string of five albums that Costello would record with producer Nick Lowe. Includes the songs: “Alison,” “Watching The Detectives,” “Less Than Zero,” and “Welcome To The Working Week.” Thirteen tracks in all. Released by UMe on 180 gram vinyl.
