Eamon Harkin: Party Out Of Sight (Bill Withers) 12″

Eamon Harkin (Mister Saturday Night, Wurst, Throne Of Blood) drops his second collection of edits on his own Subway Series imprint. This has something for all DJs starting with the Bill Withers’ stomper “Harlem.” This well executed edit features tightened drums, removed string section, and key looped lyrics… so concentrated! B-side opens with Joy Division’s “Means To An End,” with similar edit tricks. Eamon closes it out with a shout to NYC with the early 80s funk bomb “Shoot The Pump” by J Walter Negro’s & The Loose Jointz (originally released in 81 on Zoo York Recordz). For the diversity, selection, and editing skills, gotta give this the… recommended.
