Dreas: Amulet Colored Vinyl 7″

For all the Heardrums collectors, the label’s eleventh release features its best packaging yet. You know the music will be dope, but the packing is striking with a printed transparent sleeve strategically paired with blue 7″ vinyl. Label head Dreas backs up the visuals with two gems. First up, “Sub-Rosa”: It’s more polished than we’re used to (eg. crackly loops) as he drops a mutated, slow-burn boogie funk track. B-side “Fortune Teller” reminds me a lot of Express Rising with its emotive breaks (he even sneaks in some vocal snippets). 300 copies only, recommended.
