Description
David Bowie: Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars Soundtrack (180g) Vinyl 2LP
Ziggy played guitar. He was “well-hung and snow-white tan.” After mesmerizing earthlings through mythical live shows and two albums, it was time for him to go, and David Bowie (RIP) made the announcement at the Hammersmith Odeon in Lonon on July 3rd, 1973. Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars is a concert film of the “farewell” performance directed by D.A. Pennebaker, and this soundtrack, pressed on 2LP 180g vinyl, captures the epic night through 18 live recordings. In addition to “Hang On To Yourself,” “Ziggy Stardust,” “Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud,” “Space Oddity,” and other classics from Aladdin Sane, Space Oddity, & The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, there are covers of The Rolling Stones (“Let’s Spend the Night Together”) and Lou Reed (“White Light/White Heat”), and the album is also noted for the audience interaction it includes.
