David Bowie: Legacy (180g) Vinyl 2LP
Combing through and compiling the “hits” from David Bowie’s catalog, which he built over his 50-plus years in the game, is not an easy task, but Legacy gets it spot on. The double LP release, Legacy, covers the earliest (1969’s “Space Oddity”) to the latest (last year’s “Lazarus” and “I Can’t give Everything Away”) that the glam rock legend shook up the world with, and it also includes a previously unreleased version of “Life On Mars?” from the classic 1971 full-length Hunky Dory. If you’re a fan of the late icon, the chances are, you already own numbers like “Let’s Dance,” “Under Pressure,” “Ziggy Stardust,” “The Man Who Sold The World,” “Modern Love,” and “China Girl” on one format or another. Legacy, however, collects all of them in one gatefold-sleeved, 180g pressing vinyl, and it also includes 2×12″ prints—pretty difficult to resist, if you ask us.
