Cults: Offering Vinyl LP
Offering is the third album from the New York City duo Cults. The band’s signature “darkly retro sound,” funneled through its self-titled 2011 debut and the 2013 follow-up, Static, put Madeline Follin & Brian Oblivion squarely on the indie map (licensing folks must be constantly calling also). For the latest full-length, however, the pair shoots for a much brighter sound: shimmery melodies, jangly guitar strums, and Follin’s pure vocals all work together for 11 colorful, catchy and memorable songs. Check out the title track as well as “I Took Your Picture,” “Right Words,” and “With My Eyes Closed.”
