Communion Records: The Music Of David Lynch (180g) Vinyl 2LP
Music has always been an integral part of David Lynch’s films. The Music Of David Lynch captures an evening of live performances supporting the work of the David Lynch Foundation. My Morning Jacket’s Jim James took on David Lynch’s “Sycamore Trees,” while The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne And Steven Drozd performed music from Lynch’s early works Eraserhead And The Elephant Man. Includes Sky Ferreira covering Bobby Vinton’s “Blue Velvet,” a faithful rendition of Roy Orbison’s “In Dreams” by Tennis and the aptly named Twin Peaks, and Angelo Badalamenti turning in astounding versions of some of his most iconic work for Lynch. Sixteen tracks in all. Released by Communion Records on 180 gram double vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve.
