Cindy goes to the trap house and nothing is sacred. Originally conceived as the music for MANGO’s fall / winter 2015 campaign, Chromatics’ cover of Cindy Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” gets the deluxe treatment. The jacket is graced by the mugs of Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne who appeared in MANGO’s campaign and we get seven takes on the iconic 1980s hit. Most compelling might be the half time, trap influenced “Some Girls.” Whatever your flavor though Chromatics have something that will please. And something tells me that Moss and Delevingne might be having a little more fun than the rest of us. Seven tracks in all. Released by Italians Do It Better on clear vinyl housed in a foil stamped sleeve with a printed insert.
