Chapterhouse: Whirlpool (Music On Vinyl 180g, Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP
Ahh, Chapterhouse, the missing link between space rock and shoegaze. This 1991 debut album from the Reading, UK band remains their most coherent statement (but check out the later Global Communication remix album for a bit of ambient post-rave hedonism) and one of the more adventurous LPs to come out of the extended shoegaze milieu (fun fact: Rachel Goswell from Slowdive and Robin Guthrie of the Cocteaus help out on one track apiece). For reasons we don’t understand, this hasn’t been available on vinyl since 1991, and fans have been crying for this reissue for three decades… Enter this high-quality Music On Vinyl pressing on blue and silver marble colored vinyl with printed insert, limited to 1800 copies.
