Brian Eno: Music For Films (180g) Vinyl LP
Brian Eno‘s seventh solo full length from 1976 gets the deluxe reissue treatment! Music For Films is Eno’s influential concept album comprising of several short pieces for fictional movies (though several pieces were featured in actual films), a sort of anti-thesis to the long form ambient pieces he would later be known for. Here, the pioneering ambient producer uses similar equipment and compositional styles that would later be featured on David Bowie‘s Low, with assistance from John Cale (viola), Phil Collins (percussion), Robert Fripp & Fred Firth (electric guitar) rounding out the sound palette. This 2018 reissue comes pressed on heavyweight 180 gram vinyl.
