Anthony Naples: Take Me With You Vinyl LP
Take Me With You is the second album from NYC-based musician/producer/DJ Anthony Naples. Originally conceived as a mixtape for friends (album was first available as a mixed version cassette), Naples compose music inspired by time spent “in the morning hours after the parties are over (or beginning),” and his freeform approach to ambient house, dub techno, downtempo, psychedelic pop crafts a “soft focused meditation on all this warm and intangible.” Check out the cosmic opener “Alto,” or the whoozy, slow-tempo drip of “Tango.” “Goodness” pick up the energy w/ post-rave pianos, and the uptempo haze of “Love Loop to Fade” is definitely another dancing-inducing moment of the 12-tracker. Other highlights include “Drifter” and the closer “Take Me With You.”
