Andrew Ashong & Theo Parrish: Flowers 12″

UK vocalist Andrew Ashong makes his vinyl debut on Theo Parrish’s Sound Signature. He goes even further collaborating with Parrish himself on the lead track “Flowers.” Ashong definitely has a sweet Shuggie Otis-type quality to it, and the instrumentation is a perfect blend of rnb and future Detroit styles. Also features “Take It Slow” with some Zapp-esque basslines, and the acoustic-bap of “The Way She Moves.” Recommended.
