Chilled out summery vibes from Blind Jacks’ newcomer Aleksandir. The North Yorkshire based label seems to always deliver the goods and they continue the to do so with The Turtle Nipper. If you like hazy dreamy house, then consider this release another must have for your collection. We’re not quite sure where Aleksandir gets his love for turtles from, but it has inspired some pleasantly relaxing productions. He works in ambient textures and jazzy elements, synthesized choral pads and steel drum samples over the course of the release. Muted synth stabs and field recordings of the beach add their own blissful touches, as well. This is one for fans of Mood Hut or Rhythms of the Pacific, and the ever expanding universe that Blind Jacks Journey is exploring.
