This redesigned unit also sports a slightly slimmer body and slightly rearranged / more intuitive layout. Equipped to sample anything you throw at it with phono, line, instrument and mic inputs, full size SD card slot, dual MIDI ins / outs and four TRS CV/Gate jacks for integrating other gear into your setup. Massive amounts of internal storage are at your disposal with 2GB of RAM paired with 16GB of internal storage that is user-expandable with 2.5″ SATA connector for SSD or HDD drives. Akai has even thrown in 10 GB of radio-ready samples and sound content to help you get started. The unit runs on the included MPC 2.8 software that boasts on board audio track recording, improved time warp algorithm, refined Q-Link control, audio + MIDI drag and drop.
