Mall Grab: Elegy Vinyl 12″
Another fresh 12″ from Vancouver’s 1080p imprint. The mostly-cassette label rarely drops the vinyl format, and when they do, you can be sure it’s worth inspecting. This time around it’s Newcastle Australia’s Jordon Alexander that gets the 12″ treatment with hazy ambient techno vibes for days. Check the lo-fi techno bounce of “Awake that kicks it off, then “Never” pumps it up to make you sweat. On the flip, “Elegy” continues the groove, while “Drive” drops the tempo to chill room status on a nostalgic halftime drift. Recommended.
