Third studio album from London’s Cymande. Promised Heights was originally released in 1974, and continued the band’s fusion of funk and reggae. The standout here is “Brothers On The Slide,” a funky, Curtis Mayfield-esque romp that was a popular club track at the time of its release. Ten tracks in all. Released by Mr. Bongo on 180 gram vinyl housed in a full color sleeve.
