Forget that you’ve heard it sampled to death and Bob James is a funky Paul Schaeffer. Doubles of this can get any head nodding. Hard enough for beat enthusiasts and abstract enough for kids who shop at Other Music. Supposedly Biz Markie has got a CTI 12″ of Mardi Gras, but word among beat heads is that shit don’t even exist cuz nobody’s ever seen his copy.
