Big L: The Big Picture Deluxe Edition (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl 2LP
“Vocabulary spills, I’m ill.” Big L’s second album, The Big Picture, was originally slated for release in ’99, but due to L’s untimely murder it was posthumously released in 2000 by Rawkus and L’s label Flamboyant Entertainment. Considered one of the most underrated hip-hop albums of all time, The Big Picture features a who’s who of production and lyricism (not counting the godfather L himself). Production credits include DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Lord Finesse and Ron Browz, among others. Appearances are plentiful, including Fat Joe, Tupac, Guru, Kool G Rap and Big Daddy Kane. “Ebonics,” which has become the unofficial slang dictionary classic, showcases L at his artistic apex. Hard to pass up on this Limited Edition 2 LP release on translucent yellow vinyl. Released by RBC Records. Recommended.
