Inaugural release from Andras Fox’s freshly minted House Of Dad label. The prolific Melbourne-based producer continues to expand minds and spread vibes with yet another stellar release following impressive outings as A.R.T. Wilson, Andras & Oscar, and Wilson Tanner (with John Tanner). On House Of Dad, Andras pays homage to his plumber father (hence the cover art and track names) with a project that is “a dedication of love and a constructive criticism.” The six track mini-album flows between Gigi Masin / William Basinski style ambient pieces, mellow midtempo breaks, and easy-going downtempo, with “chill” being the unifying theme. Peep the sound on the gorgeous “Roof Metal Corrosion,” the grooving “Hard Working Man,” “Stereo Dunnies,” and “Water Diviner.” Can this guy do any wrong?
