Transgender Dysphoria Blues was the first album recorded by the band after frontwoman Laura Jane Grace came out as transgender, and documents Grace’s journey through gender dysphoria and the gender transition process. The band had a huge breakthrough with 2007’s New Wave, and the same raw sensibilities and poppy hooks permeate T.D.B., executed with much more ferocity. This is what punk is all about. Original vinyl runs were snatched up quick, and the album has been a tough find on wax in recent years but has made available again thanks to Total Treble in the form of this stunning blue vinyl pressing.
