Adesse Versions: Pride Vinyl 12″
Rare white label lo-fi House cuts! Aliased House music is quite a big market in the underground these days. Kevin Gorman’s latest genre defying take is this fantastic hand stamped 12″ showcasing two massive tunes along with a respective dub. The lead cut, ‘Pride’, takes a young Rufus & Chaka Khan’s ‘Tell Me Something Good’ and MAJORLY flips the vocals for a dark yet uplifting Deep House cut. The second tune ‘First Time’ goes a little deeper in the vein of Larry Heard circa 91. The finally the inside cut of side B is a dub of ‘Pride’ that keeps a steady groove with little flashes of brilliance. Repressed due to demand and the unfortunate inflation of the criminals on Discogs.
